What the lab found
| Organic matter | 58.2% |
|---|---|
| Total nitrogen (N) | 1.9% |
| Phosphorus (P) | 0.8% |
| Potassium (K) | 1.1% |
| pH | 7.2 |
What these numbers mean
Organic matter is the bulk of what castings do for soil — structure and water holding. N-P-K is modest by design: castings are an amendment, not a fertilizer, so you can't overdo it. A pH of 7.2 sits right in the range most garden plants want.

This is our first published batch from the San Jose beds — harvested, screened, and sampled the same week.
